Amazing places for you to enjoy include Nubra Valley - with its turtle dove & Pangong Lake, a lovely waterway filled with fish. Your Leh-Ladakh itinerary requires driving on some amazing high mountain pass roads as well as an exciting experience. It is one of the best road trip options if you are interested in having the total experience of driving through the Himalayas.

Itinerary

Start your journey in the morning from Srinagar & head towards Kargil.
En route, explore Sonamarg, Zojila Pass (11,575 ft), Drass Village (2nd Coldest Inhabited place in the World), & the War Memorial Hall & Museum.
Reach Kargil by evening.
Overnight stay in Kargil.

After breakfast, depart for Sham.
On the way, visit Mulbek with its giant Buddha Sculpture on Rock Mountain,
Lamayuru (the oldest Monastery of Ladakh), & witness the Moon-like view as you reach the Lamayuru Monastery.
Lunch at Ule or Alchi.
Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.
Overnight stay in Sham.

Following breakfast, drive to Leh, making stops at Alchi Monastery, Sangam, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill & the Hall of Fame en route.
Arrive in Leh by afternoon.
In the evening, visit Shanti Stupa & the Leh Market.

After breakfast, begin on a drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (the Highest Motorable road in the world at 18,380 ft).
Take short breaks at roadside cafes & scenic points for photography.
On arrival, check in to the hotel/camp/guest house.
Post lunch, enjoy a camel safari featuring double-humped camels unique to Ladakh & Mongolia at the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village.
Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

After breakfast, drive to Thang (the last village of India on the India-Pakistan border), captured by the Indian Army in the 1971 war.
En route, visit Turtuk & Tyakshi.
Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

After breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake at 14,500 ft, with a drive of 6 – 7 Hrs.
Arrival at the camp, enjoy fun time & watch the color-changing lake & the sunset on its banks.
Overnight stay at Pangong Lake.

Early morning, enjoy the scenic sunrise over the lake.
After breakfast, drive back to Leh, with stops at Thiksey for a traditional Ladakhi cuisine Lunch.
After Lunch visit Thiksey Monastery & Shey Monastery & continue the journey to Chuchot to witness an exciting traditional Ladakhi polo match & Cultural show, highlighting the region's special sporting heritage.
Overnight stay in Leh.

Early in the morning, transfer to Leh airport for your flight back to your destination.
The journey comes to an end.
